How do we know where we are going, if we don’t know where we’ve been? It always worth reflecting on past decisions and actions and this made me think of my last exhibition in Liverpool in 2013. This was a collection of street photographs taken in a variety of cities across Europe and represented my interest in people and places. I love being in a new city exploring the built environment. There’s a sense of being hyper-aware, looking to capture a fleeting expression, a figure, a juxtaposition or life less ordinary. There’s an energy, a vivacity that comes with the environment that is hard to beat. So where next? To be honest, I’m not sure but I’m open to inspiration or happenstance … .
As you find me here at Format, you’ll know that I’ve moved my web host from Zenfolio to this new provider. This has given me the stimulus I felt I needed to refresh my web presence and re-present the brand of The Space In-Between. I hope you like what you see here and I’d value your feedback if you get the chance. Small acts of kindness, hey?
